It's only the past week or so that the sun's gone far enough below the horizon to get dark enough to see stars, but it's been cloudy most of the time.
Tonight, the sky is almost perfectly clear, so I went outside to take a look at the stars, and was instead treated to some pretty strong green aurora, mostly in an northeast-southwest band and some ripples to the north :)

I've only seen aurora in the sky once. (It's just really hard to get it, all the way down here.) It was mostly just a green glow to the north - though sometimes it did flicker a wee bit. (Apparently, the places north of us, that night, had a spectacular show!)
