I'll have you know that seagulls are quite common in Spokane, WA, which is quite a bit more than 20 miles inland :)
Because the sun shines all day, they make a ruckus all day, especially at 4 am. Still, I don't have the heart to remove the egg (although I won't complain if my landlords do)
The gulls were quieter last night. The nest is gone, and the eggshell lay in the driveway when I got home. It looked like another bird had eaten it. I never saw a gull sitting on the nest, so I guess it was abandoned.
