There is a seagull nest on the garbage bin. It is made of lawn clippings, and has an egg in it.

I smell an omelette?

/evil giggles

//hates seagulls and their "whitewash"

//grew up in the suburbs, where the seagulls managed to live by the hundreds and thousands in mall parking lots - some 20 miles inland!

I'll have you know that seagulls are quite common in Spokane, WA, which is quite a bit more than 20 miles inland :)

Because the sun shines all day, they make a ruckus all day, especially at 4 am. Still, I don't have the heart to remove the egg (although I won't complain if my landlords do)

The gulls were quieter last night. The nest is gone, and the eggshell lay in the driveway when I got home. It looked like another bird had eaten it.
I never saw a gull sitting on the nest, so I guess it was abandoned.
