Eh... I'll have to disagree. It starts out kind of cute and then just explodes in a big messy bitter ball of rage, with a bunch of generalizations that... I mean, come on. We may have legalized gay marriage, but there's still so much hate for gays in a LOT of communities outside major city centers that it doesn't mean much. And don't lock our doors? Uh, yeah we do. I will admit to being shocked at visiting a friend down in the US and finding out they had bars on *everything* (doors and windows) but still... yeah.

Morford tends to indulge in polemics and hyperbole...similar to the old Hunter Thompson, but Morford is way forced. I believe Hunter Thompson when he acts outraged, I don't really buy it when Morford does it. He should stick to the jaded and cynical snark, it works better for him. It's more honest.

And really, people need to stop getting all their information about Canada from "Bowling for Columbine."

Also, you should give Canada some credit: at least your government isn't advocating legal discrimination against gays and lesbians. That's like, a huge leap forward. Compared to us, of course.

Best snark ever. :D And now I *really* have to watch it.

I watched it last week. I liked it.

I live in a safer place than Canada, and I always lock my doors. So there.

I am so touched by your declaration of "best snark ever" that I might just cry. Or pass out.

Damn it, that's the last time I start a paper that's due at nine in the morning at three during the same morning.
