The river is starting to freeze. Little flakes of ice are drifting around the surface and piling up behind the bridge pillar. If you stop on the bridge, you can hear soft crunching sounds.

My greatest challenge now is managing to maintain a decent temperature in my apartment without having to spend too much electricity.

WE have cold here too - it's so bizarre. I love my rooms hot, and the new house is not insulated. Who builds a house without insulation? Oh, that's right, the same people who build a house without using studs to frame the interior. Cheap housebuilders.
