Lo, it is raining. Temperature's hovering around 5 C, and the out-of-doors is covered in wet ice to the extent that they had to close the airport for two hours yesterday (which almost never happens).

More seriously, some asshole posted a montage on 4chan describing a plan to stage a massacre at one of the high schools here in town on Friday. The school was evacuated, and the matter is under investigation. The thing that really gets me is that more likely than not, this is some punkass kid's idea of a joke, and he (presuming it's a boy) is tickled silly that he got a reaction like this, but the thing is, EVEN if it's posted on 4chan, you can't treat it as a joke. I hope they find him, and I know that if they do, he will rue the day he had this fucking dumbass idea. (And I hope to god that it was never seriously intended, which is the alternative).

My husband's years of teaching high school have not done much to prove to me that teenagers are anything beyond punkass brats, and it's unfortunate that anyone would think causing this sort of panic is a joke.
