Today, I went to a certain grocery store that has a larger selection of stuff, and has discounts on stuff every wednesday. I approached it, only to find that it has spent summer mutating into a different grocery store, belonging to a cheaper chain with less variety, and no wednesday deals. Bastards.
The people who caused me to move out of the house I shared with 6 others this winter, have in turn moved elsewhere. I figure the people moving there now would find some way to annoy me, too. I might spend a thousand NOK more a month living here and have to share a room with a fridge, but I get my privacy and after so many years of roommates, it is worth it.
Every morning when I put on my ring, I obsess about all the little ways it is uncomfortable. I can half adapt to it over the course of the day, but it always feels like such a huge lump on my finger. Today, I scrounged up my jewelry box; I bought a small silver ring several years ago, and never really wore it due to itching from sharp edges. I put it on, and it felt exactly the way I want my ring to feel: almost not there. The conclusion is that my ring suffers from being too heavy and too thick for my preferences, and I believe I will either buy a lighter replacement for everyday wear, or have it reforged (sweetie is adapting better, but his feels a bit too thick too).
That'll teach me to be more thorough and not immediately go for what I *think* I want; I wanted a comfort fit after trying one on in the first store we went to, while we bought our rings in a different, non chain store, and I think the first ones we tried on were slenderer than the lumps we got that turned out to have a gravitational impact as soon as we actively wore them. My silver ring, itchy as it is, is small enough to not have this problem, and also fits in the groove at the base of my finger without pushing on the neighboring fingers.
Other than that, I've felt tired and exhausted all day, part from residual jetlag and lack of sleep and part from walking more than I did during summer. Hence, I spent most of the afternoon dozing in bed.
I need to figure out when things I am interested in Olympic wise are being shown. I haven't paid attention, but I know I've missed out on stuff I wanted to see already.

Most of the good olympic stuff seems to be happening late at night..I do want to see the shot put at Mt. Olympus, I need to find out when that's out.
