A pleasant surprise

Yesterday, after first a week of snow and then a week of rain, we finally got clear skies again, and I was treated to a beautiful morning sky with just a few clouds hanging out over the mountaintops (and they did an excellent job of catching the early sunrise colours).

Today, there are no clouds to speak of, and Venus is hanging above the mountaintops instead. First sighting since last winter :)
