One of my favorite Norwegian comic strips, translated into English!
We got a little snow yesterday and today, just enough to cover up the old stuff (which was looking pretty bad now that half of it is melted away and all the gunk is on top of it). The crocuses haven't opened yet, but they're just waiting for another sunny day.
The big news today: this town has been picked as Norway's candidate for the 2018 olympics. This was big enough news that they announced it on the PSA system at the mall where I work. People are all excited; I'm a bit meh and can't really say I expect Tromsø to get it (then again, the Olympics are all about TV, so does it really matter that we don't have that many people up here?) and I probably won't be living here by then anyway. Oh well, we won't know until 2011...
(My boss said that if we do get it, he'll rent out his house and take his family on vacation somewhere hot and watch it all on TV :) )
