My sister got the new version of Pride and Prejudice for christmas, so I have now watched it.

I renamed it "Pride and Prejudice on the Farm", which is set in a period fantasy universe (much similar to medieval fantasy with girls in skimpy outfits and such). KK's Lizzie was about as flat as her chest (speaking of which, I suspect a girl looking like her would be either poor or have consumption back then. I guess nobody told her it was once attractive to look like you could afford to feed yourself), I cannot recover from the barnyard the Bennetts had on their front porch, and exactly what year were the costumes supposed to be from?

On the bright side, I did like how they made Mary more human and less caricature (I've always had a soft spot for the girl with the glasses), and I liked Donald Sutherland.

Other than that, my icon sums it up.

I haven't seen the version with KK in it -- I have a feeling that no matter how good it turned out to be, it wouldn't be able to overtake the Colin Firth love that the BBC series induced in me, nor would I see a better (imo) Lizzie Bennet or Mrs Bennet (I love Alison Steadman... and Benjamin Whitrow (Mr Bennet), Julie Sawalha (Lydia) and most of the others!) :)
