Power went out at midnight and didn't come back at 6.30 am. I wonder how the food in our tiny freezer held up.

If you didn't open the freezer, it should be fine. :) All my frozen stuff was okay during the 12 hours the power was out to my apartment during the 2003 power outage in Toronto.
