What Type of Weather Are You?

In even more weather stuff, we were waiting for the bus around 6 pm when I saw a glow in the western sky and told my hubby the moon was there. Turning around, I saw the same glow in the northern sky, thought "waitaminute" and then noticed a certain streakiness.
I've never seen aurora through a partial cloud layer before. It was awesome, looked a bit like pictures from telescope of interstellar gas clouds except these changed a lot (and were all green)
