One week to go. The sun is now shining on the (mid-high altitude) clouds in the south :)

How long does the sun stay up? I have never been that north and am very curious.

Hasn't been up at all since november 22nd :)

Starting next week it'll be up a bit more than an hour longer each week until may 22, after which it won't set for 2 months.

Frankly, the lack of twilight and night was more of a pain than the lack of day has been (the 4-7 hour twilights have compensated for much)

Yeah, I can see where lack of night could be a big pain. When I have had to work the night shift, trying to sleep when it is light out was always hard for me. In New York city , where I am, the days are done by a little after 5pm or so right now. I get depressed when it gets dark so early, especially since I sleep late on weekends. :) I am excited that the days are starting to get a bit longer now. I hate getting out of work when it's dark outside.
