The sky this morning was white.
I kid you not.
There was a layer of really high altitude ice clouds, part of which was being lit by the sun and colored pink, and was bright enough to give the mountains behind me a semblance of daylight for the first time in 6 weeks (also, the entire sky was twilight-colored, there didn't appear to be night in the north). Below the pink patch was a patch that looked like slightly hazy but mostly clear sky, and it was glowing an almost pure white with the tiniest trace of blue to it. It was awesome and if not for the fact that my camera's batteries are flat and I had a bus to catch, I'd have taken pictures :)
2 weeks till the sun returns.
