I have graduated.
And I got the prize for Best Student, immediately after I'd convinced myself I wouldn't get it due to my 3 exempted classes (I'd taken their equivalent at university) :)
All my papers are with my old last name, but the engraved binoculars we got from a glass company to celebrate graduation were labeled with my new last name (which I haven't actually gotten yet due to a paper holdup). I liked that :)
I have however also decided that I do like my old last name enough that I now want to keep it as a second middle name rather than completely replacing it. I'll look into how to do that - first I have to withdraw my old name change application from my old public registry, then register my move, then get my marriage and new name registered at new public registry. Fussy, and I can't really do anything of it yet (except perhaps withdraw the old app if I visit my parents next week).
For now, I have an apartment to pack up and clean. And a ton of laundry.
