I have been interviewed and shown a store, and I think it went well.
My resume was described as impressive, a word I never expected to hear about that patchwork of no real jobs ever. My like of alternative methods for doing tests, and my wanting other people around for second opinion if in doubt, seemed to be considered positive things. And the boss likes people to have a solid theoretical foundation, and likes people to cohesively write down what they observe, and does not want to rush through eye examinations like a treadmill.
I didn't feel like I said a single stupid thing all morning (very rare), and don't really feel nervous at all - only slight jitter is feeling bad about not clearing away my plate and cup when they gave me a bite of lunch.
It might help that he said something along the lines in calling me in a couple days and start working on putting together a proposal of a work contract... :)
In other words, I am not hired yet, but I feel good about this :)
