Think Kerry is not involved in this fight?
We got pizza in class today. Our 2 hour lecture on ocular pathology, scheduled 2 hours after a 2 hour lecture on general pathology, had been stretched into 4 hours due to being canceled last week. To make us feel better, the institute ordered a selection of pizzas, which were devoured after the AMD and before the myopic degenerations.
Speaking of myopic degeneration, I did spend an hour of the megalecture feeling targeted by propaganda :) However, beyond glaucoma if my eyes are too long, and vitreous/retinal detachment, most of the others don't concern me. See, when you have 20/10 vision, that is a good indicator that you don't have problems that give 20/40 vision. So now I just have to figure out if I can get my eyeballs measured, and if they're shorter than 33 millimeters I won't be in the 30% glaucoma risk group and will be content.
And I just found a neat page with pictures of several of the assorted disorders we learned about today. The page is located in, of all places, Yemen :)
