I went shopping on my way home from school. Selected my items, brought them to the cashier, paid, got my change and receipt and started bagging my food (for you americans, yes we do our own bagging here). Looked at receipt, saw a price I didn't recognize, looked more closely and saw one of my items had been priced too high, turned to tell the cashier and she'd gotten up and was standing about 50 feet away, helping someone. The other cashier noticed my confused face, and started beckoning to the woman who'd rung me up in between taking care of customers in her line. After a minute or two, my cashier returned and I got the mistake sorted out.

The amount of money that I stood around waiting for was worth a bit less than an US quarter.
