I have developed a theorem that states that whenever the two largest 'national' newspapers wax enthusiastic about anything pertaining to the weather that supposedly applies to the entire country, this place will be experiencing the opposite.
Case in point: for the past two days, the newspapers have been going on about the heat wave we all are apparently enjoying, and talking about how this hot spring weather is going to last a while.
Here, it snowed on those same two days.
(I must admit, though, that I didn't mind when we had a mild spell this winter while the newspapers were bemoaning the cold snap we all were being crushed by)
