That wasn't so bad :) Wind picked up a notch around 4 pm and people were talking about closing the bridge, so I left work early. A bus that would have gotten me halfway home came by almost immediately, but I decided not to take it as I didn't want to walk the last stretch and then spent the next 10 minutes wondering if I'd made a mistake, as my bus was 10 minutes late and the wind was increasing as I was standing there waiting. Thankfully, it was only 20 m/s at the bridge. They had a guy in a patrol car posted near the wind gauges, giving information to passing cars and buses, but they hadn't closed it. I had a nice talk with the bus driver about the wind, and we got a bit of action as the hatch that covers the engine flew open halfway across the bridge :)
And of course, the wind lessened about an hour later, so all in all, it wasn't as big a deal as it might have been. I will say I am glad I was not on the outer coast yesterday, though!
