We returned last night from a week of much needed summer (23 C every day, yay!) down at my parents, and are now back in the land of 12 C. Our apartment was freezing cold, and our computer appears to have taken offense to not being turned on for a week, as it choked one minute after booting up last night, crashed on the following 3 boot attempts, and required almost half a dozen boot attempts this morning to start up.
We can't find any disks to do fresh backups on, but will do so today.
(The problem is most likely that we expect the computer to be fairly dust choked, but we're afraid of opening it and making matters worse)
