Last night we had a farewell party for three assistants. The event consisted of bowling followed by dinner at a fancy restaurant (the kind where they decorate the plates with drizzled stuff) during which we all wore 30 year old sunglasses (since we sat in the winter garden section with glass walls to the outside, we got a lot of looks from passersby. We looked and waved right back :) )
I left for home around midnight, and have finally completed my life long dream of seeing the sun at midnight as opposed to being aware of its presence (There's a mountain blocking it from my apartment. I love that mountain).
(It's not really that special; it's just there. I'd rather see it the day it barely set and then rose again.)
