Oh, the pain

Two of my molars have been bothering me for three years by every now and then trapping food between them and causing agonising jaw pain. Today, I had a dentist appointment. She said there was a huge giant hole between the two teeth, and proceeded to spend half an hour just clearing away stuff to put the filling on (apparently, the caries was almost down to the bone of my jaw).

I'm used to cavities; I am not used to the tooth hurting like mad after it's been patched up. If I bite, there is agony; if I suck on the tooth, there is agony; if I do nothing, there is a dull icy ache.

I hope this passes. If it does not, I have another appointment for more of my cavities on Monday. And if it gets real bad, I'll march down there and rip her head off. Or something.
