Joy is waking up before 6, getting a sip of milk from the fridge, and finding it to be significantly warmer than expected.

Much anger and gnashing of teeth ensued.

Then we started emptying the thing (to put the food into the tiny, old, freezerless fridge) and the ¤#%"/¤ turned on. Current theory is that something icy was on the thermostat (wherever that is) and screwing things up.

I feel uneasy whenever the ¤#&("" isn't running.

The sky is clear for the first time in the 2 weeks since the sun came back, and it was rising as I went to work (pink mountains) :)

Now, the moon is 5 or 6 days old. So it's a crescent, almost quarter, and at normal latitudes you'd expect it to rise about 5 hours later than the sun.

Right?

Not here. As I was admiring the pink mountains from the bus, I noticed an almost quarter moon hanging around in the northeast, quite a bit above the horizon; it's been up for quite a while already, maybe even all night.

Today I wish my workplace had windows.

Damn, that's bright.

(Believe it or not, my brain had kinda forgotten how bright sunlight is)

(This is how long it's been)

Sun and moon together

Moon is that tiny speck in the upper left corner.

(Yes, I have become utterly fascinated by the fact that I can backtrack through all the webcam images. Why do you ask?)
