There's a large amount of pale green aurora going on outside. It's been mostly diffuse; I wasn't sure it was aurora or a trick of gibbous moonlight until I saw it resolve into some streaks 10 minutes ago.
I like it - as long as it doesn't fry my internet connection, that is.

When I got off the bus home from work, I saw some flowers in a circle with an outdoor candle in the middle, and a circle of footprints around it in the fresh-from-yesterday snow. I wondered if it was for a car accident, but it seemed a bit to far onto the sidewalk for that, and then I remembered:
On new year's day, a guy vanished in town. The last time anyone saw him was when he got off the intercity bus I take home from work, at that bus stop.
