Serendipity

There are several train tracks in town, most of which run parallell to the main street. One of them follows the road on one side, crosses diagonally near a traffic junction, and continues to follow the road on the opposite side. The first time I noticed that set of tracks, I wondered if they were still in use and was told that trains would cross there on rare occasions, and I wished I could see that.
Today, on my final afternoon here, we head to the grocery store at that traffic junction at a somewhat earlier hour than usual, and are greeted on our way there by the alarm bells signaling a train. I got my wish :)
