Upon closer inspection, B&N easily broke the wedding porn record with 23 different bridal magazines.

We ordered our rings two days ago. They were supposed to be ready today, each engraved with one word where only the first letter was capitalized. When we went to pick them up, we found out that the salesguy we worked with had inadvertantly showed us a font only used in plaques and larger things. Our rings needed a different font, and in a fit of wisdom he had elected to change it to a slanted block font without calling us in order to get it finished by the promised date. Now, this slanted block font did sort of resemble what we'd picked, and it wasn't the straight block font that he remembered we hated, but it had no lower case letters. Our word, in all caps, looked like a cheap brand name. (Apparently, lower case letters are avoided in rings, as they are harder to read. So what? We know what it says.)
The end result is that they are redoing our engraving in cursive script, with only one upper case letter, by noon Monday. It'll be done by a different engraver, and if we're not pleased they'll get a set of brand new rings rather than start over on the old ones. (If we're not pleased we're taking our business elsewhere, but that's a different matter)
I repeatedly pointed out to the salesguy that we would much rather have had him call, even if it'd cause a delay, and the noncall is what I have been irate about most of the afternoon - it is now blending with a sense of being cheated, as I was mentally prepared that we'd get these things today.

However, these are not symbols we need to know we have a relationship. They're just pretty bits of metal to let the world know we belong to each other, and so I'll have an easy accessible piece of metal to test metallic and organic glass against.
Also, my sweetie has just made me a yummy tuna mac and cheese casserole, so the world is okay :)
