I never wanted one of these anyway.
However, during my jewelry store quest, I couldn't help but notice how focused the stores here are on pitching diamonds as The Only Option for a romantic gift, engagement ring, wedding ring, or for any piece of jewelry. Every store has a diamond in its sign, every store has diamond ads, and other gemstones are all but invisible.
I found the diamond pushing as offputting as all the wedding this, wedding that ads I keep seeing everywhere, insisting I cannot get married without them.
Diamonds are for never

I have just ordered a total of 14 sample swatches of velvet, chiffon, georgette, crepe back satin, and delustered satin. Hopefully, I'll find a combo I like :)
