When I was around 10, Carl Sagan's Cosmos was aired on Norwegian TV. The series made an indelible mark on my mind; it made me think - really think - about the universe, and the vast scales of time and space involved - in particular, the segments about the origin of the universe and how constellations change over 100 million years (my brain can still play the music that accompanied that), and astronomy/cosmology is one of my major interests.
Our love of the series, and the way we see the universe because of it, was one of the major things my husband and I first bonded over.
